There are several different ways of expressing the conditional in Japanese, a common one is to use the ～た form of the verb + ら for the conditional clause.
if it rains, we won't go = あめが ふったら、 いきません。 ・ 雨が 降ったら、 行きません。
if I were rich, I would travel = おかねもちだったら、 りょこうを します。 ・ お金持ちだったら、 旅行を します。
if I were you, I'd refuse = わたしだったら、 ことわります。 ・ 私だったら、 断ります。
I wonder if they'll come = かれらは きますかね。 ・ 彼らは 来ますかね。
