1 [I, T] call (out) to somebody ; call (something) (out) to say something loudly or to shout in order to attract attention ऊँची आवाज़ में बुलाना, पुकारना, चिल्‍लाना (प्रायः ध्यान आकर्षित करने के लिए)
‘Hello, is anybody there?’ she called.
He called out the names and the winners stepped forward.
